Vladimir Tskaev died not from beating, defendant's advocate asserts

According to the medical examination, Vladimir Tskaev, a resident of Vladikavkaz, died not because of the beatings inflicted by policemen, but of an injection of lidocaine. This was reported by an advocate of one of the defendants in the criminal case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of November 1, 39-year-old Vladimir Tskaev died after interrogation at the Iriston OVD (Interior Division). According to his relatives, Vladimir Tskaev died from torture. Three policemen were detained and arrested in the case. A 26-year-old Senior Police Lieutenant, the fifth suspect in the criminal case of the Vladimir Tskaev's death, is put on the federal wanted list.

Vladimir Tskaev was accused of inflicting a gunshot wound to a policeman. However, later, another resident of Vladikavkaz voluntarily confessed to the crime.

The conducted medical examination has revealed that the death of Vladimir Tskaev occurred not as a result of beatings, but of an injection of a local anaesthetic. This was reported on February 29 by advocate Miloslav Kabaloev, representing the interests of one of the arrested policemen.

"According to the medical examination conducted by doctors of the Rostov Region, Vladimir Tskaev died of lidocaine and not of the beating. And this is proved by the examination," the "Interfax-South" quotes the advocate as stating.
