Chechen MIA starts checking books written by Ibragimov and Didiev for extremism

The works of Chechen publicists Rizvan Ibragimov and Aslambek Didiev can be recognized as extremist literature and banned in the territory of Russia. This was reported by an official from the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya.

According to sources of the "Caucasian Knot", on April 1, the publicists were detained in Grozny after the Ibragimov's historical concepts had been criticized by officials and theologians. Rizvan Ibragimov and Aslambek Didiev were released on the fourth day after their detention. Before the liberation, they were publicly criticized at the meeting of Ramzan Kadyrov with Chechen writers and scientists.

"Rizvan Ibragimov published several books, claiming to become scientific and theological writings, including: 'The mystery of family trees of the prophets', 'The Jewish nation is not the one it claims to be', 'Palestine? No, Chechnya', and so on. Aslambek Didiev published the book entitled 'The hidden history of the prophets' and the pseudo theological work entitled 'Word of Allah'... Both authors claim that the Chechen nation is a nation chosen by Allah, which generated all mankind," noted an official from the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

According to him, experts started checking the books written by Ibragimov and Didiev for extremism and inciting ethnic and religious hatred. The law enforcer has also noted that Ibragimov has neither historical nor theological education.

Residents of Chechnya have reported that Ibragimov's books were available for sale in the territory of the republic and caused some interest among the population.
