Ingushetia to have local governing bodies

The forming of the institution of local governing bodies has started in Ingushetia. With this purpose, President of Ingushetia Murat Zyazikov has issued a decree the other day to set up the Working Group to Implement Regulations of the Federal Law on General Principles of Organizing Local Government.

"Under the federal law, the system of local governing bodies is to be introduced in all administrative areas of the Russian Federation till 2006. The task of our commission is to take all necessary measures so that to implement all regulations of this law on the territory of Ingushetia in time and properly, Ingush Deputy Prime Minister Magomed Markhiyev, who heads the Working Group, said. "We have to settle organizational and financial questions first of all."

The first meeting of the Working Group took place on August 7. Participants discussed regulations of the Federal Law on General Principles of Organizing Local Government and worked out high-priority measures.
