Residents of Talysh are provided with housing in Stepanakert

The village of Talysh in Nagorno-Karabakh is under constant fire from the Azerbaijani party; its residents are provided with temporary shelter in Stepanakert, said Vilen Petrosyan, the community leader.

At night on April 2, the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone sharply escalated. On April 5, the parties declared an armistice.

Vilen Petrosyan has noted that all the villagers receive their due payments – salaries, pensions and children benefits.

According to Artak Beglaryan, the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, currently, the developing programmes of pre-border villages have been suspended.

The residents of the village of Matagis have been evacuated for the time being, said Gegam Agadjanyan, the headmaster of the Matagis school and the acting head of the village, adding that "Matagis villagers hope to promptly return to their homes."
