In Ingushetia, military unit shelled from grenade launcher

On June 5, in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, a military unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was shelled from a grenade launcher. This has been reported today by sources from the law enforcement bodies. According to them, no one was injured as a result of the incident.

The shelling affected the territory of the military unit deployed in the village of Alkhasty.

"No one fell victim to the explosion of a grenade which entered the territory of the military unit," reports a source from the law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia as quoted by the "Interfax".

According to the source, today, in the mountains and forests in the area where the military unit of the Russian Interior Troops is deployed, law enforcers are engaged in activities to find the criminals involved in the shelling.

The incident occurred at about 5:00 p.m. Moscow time of June 5. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies as quoted by the "TASS". According to the source, soldiers opened fire in return. However, the attackers managed to escape.

In total, the military unit registered a single shot from a grenade launcher. According to the preliminary information, it was released from the adjacent forested area, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to its source.
