Azerbaijani citizen arrested after Istanbul terror act

A court in Turkey has arrested Elchin Bunyadov, a citizen of Azerbaijan, on suspicion of committing the terror act in Istanbul "Ataturk" Airport.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 28 a terror act was committed at the Istanbul airport. It was reported that three explosions triggered by suicide bombers killed more than 40 persons and wounded 239 others. Sources reported about detained natives of Dagestan, Chechnya and Azerbaijan.

Elchin Bunyadov, a citizen of Azerbaijan, was arrested on July 3 and accused of membership in an armed terrorist organization, plotting of and complicity in a murder.

In total, in connection of the above terror act, ten residents of Turkey and three foreigners are accused of murders and participation in the "Islamic State" (IS) recognized by a Russian court a terrorist organization, the "Deutsche Welle" reports quoting the Turkish news agency "Dogan".

It should be noted that Turkish media reported on June 30 that one of the perpetrators of the terror act was Osman Vadinov. Some editions called him a native of Chechnya, others – of Dagestan.
