KBR marks end of Ramadan with fireworks and worship services

Festive sermons to mark the end of Muslims' fasting month of Ramadan were held in all mosques of the republic. In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), the Eid al-Fitr was declared a day-off.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the KBR that the festive celebrations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr began in the morning in the Cathedral Mosque of Nalchik.

Khazretali Dzasezhev, the Mufti of the KBR, held a festive prayer and pronounced a sermon, in which he congratulated the believers with the holiday. He called Muslims of the KBR to unity, mutual understanding, and support of peace and stability in the republic. The Mufti of the KBR expressed his deep regret at the tragic events that took place on the eve in the holy city of Medina, and offered condolences to casualties' relatives and friends.

All the believers were treated to hot pilaf.

In the evening, Nalchik saw gala fireworks.
