In Karabudakhkent District, CTO legal regime introduced for seventh time during two years
Since August of 2014, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been introduced on the territory of the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan for the seventh time already. In June, law enforcer discovered there a blown-up car with fragments of the human bodies inside it. Relatives of the deceased men have filed complaints about their kidnapping. Earlier, in the Karabudakhkent District, law enforcers repeatedly came under fire, and a workshop for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was discovered.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of July 7, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the Karabudakhkent District. According to the law enforcement bodies, during the special operation, nine suspected militants and one Special Forces fighter were killed, and three other law enforcers were wounded. Among the names of the killed suspects, the law enforcers also mentioned Gusein Taghirov, born in 1986, the leader of the "Makhachkala" terrorist grouping.
Today, in the course of the operative and search activities conducted within the CTO legal regime, two men have been detained with an IED and ammunition, the law enforcement bodies report. Furthermore, today, the unconfirmed information about a new shootout has come from the Karabudakhkent District.
