Editor-in-chief of Azerbaijani newspaper complains about arson of his car

According to Asif Marzili, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Tezadlar", his car was set on fire four months after the arson of his apartment. The journalist associates the incidents with his professional activities.

Today, Asif Marzili, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Tezadlar" (Contrasts) and the website "tezadlar.az", has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that last night, in Baku, unidentified persons burned down his car.

"I woke up at night, at about 3:00 a.m., because of the alarm sound. I looked out the window and saw that my Honda Accord car caught fire. We called the fire-fighting team. And although they came very quickly and extinguished the fire, my car appeared to be in disrepair," Asif Marzili has said.

The journalist believes that the incident was the arson.

"On March 14, our apartment was set on fire. The incident also occurred at night, at about 3:00 a.m. That is, criminals used the same way to commit the crime," believes Asif Marzili. And he continues: "However, then we were able to extinguish the fire in due time, and the apartment was not much affected by the fire."

The investigation into the case of arson of his apartment is still underway, notes Asif Marzili.
