Armenian opposition announces mass detentions of its supporters

In Armenia, the seizure of a police station by supporters of the "Constituent Parliament" has been followed by mass detentions of activists. This was reported by the opposition. Detainees are not allowed to be visited by advocates, reports the Vanadzor Office of the Helsinki Civil Assembly.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning, the building of a regiment of the patrol-and-security service of the Armenian police has been seized in Yerevan. As a result of the shootout, a policeman was killed, and four other persons were wounded.

Opposition activists are being detained en masse in Freedom Square and near the seized police building. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a member of the headquarters of the "Constituent Parliament".
