Prizes of Film Festival "Golden Apricot" go to films about Armenian Genocide

In Yerevan, the film platform "Armenia-Turkey", which operated during the Thirteenth International Film Festival "Golden Apricot", presented more than twenty films. Prizes have gone to two projects dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire in 1915.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Thirteenth International Film Festival "Golden Apricot" was held on July 10-17 in Yerevan. The Grand Prix of the festival went to the film "In front of the left bank", directed by Yevgeny Grigoriev, a Russian filmmaker.

The award in the amount of 7500 euros was granted to the film "Welcome to Anatolia" directed by Arno Khayadjanyan. The film tells a story of the journey of 30-year-old Vigen to the land of his ancestors. The second prize in the amount of 5000 euros went to the film "Aurora Dawn", directed by Inna Saakyan and dedicated to the life story of Aurora Mardiganyan, an Armenian-American writer and actress, who survived the Armenian Genocide.
