This opinion was voiced by experts and coaches, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot". Meanwhile, Ingushetia faces shortage of specialized halls, and coaches have to reject many children who come to judo sections.

Judoka Khasan Khalmurzaev, a native of Ingushetia, won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the weight category of up to 81 kg. Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov has announced the construction of a judo hall in honour of Khasan Khalmurzaev.

According to Tamerlan Sampiev, the chief of the department of the Ingush Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the chief of the department for development of sports and training of reserves, local guys won top places in competitions in judo, boxing and wrestling in Russia and Europe.

Tamerlan Sampiev has also added that apart from the Khalmurzaev brothers, there are other promising judokas in Ingushetia.
