Man killed in Kabardino-Balkaria identified as Khizir Likhov

Khizir Likhov, treated by law enforcers as one of the militant leaders, was killed in Kabardino-Balkaria during a night attack on policemen. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

Last night, a shootout has occurred on the federal highway "Kavkaz".

According to the NAC, Khizir Likhov attacked inspectors of the operative DPS squad on duty on the road and agents of the Kabardino-Balkarian security service. No law enforcer suffered in the shootout. At the place of the shootout, law enforcers found a pistol, a grenade, and ammunition, the NAC's website reports.

Khizir Khasanbievich Likhov was put on the list of suspects wanted by the law enforcement bodies of Kabardino-Balkaria.
