Participants of "tractor march" detained in Rostov-on-Don
Today, the Association of Carriers of Russia has reported about the detention of four activists of the "tractor march" at a parking lot in Rostov-on-Don.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 21, farmers of the Krasnodar Territory started a tractor run to Moscow. They attempted to draw the authorities' attention to the raiders' seizure of land plots in the region. On August 23, the farmers were detained in the Rostov Region, when they gathered in a cafe for talks with representatives of the presidential permanent mission in the Southern Federal District (SFD).
According to the Association of Carriers of Russia, new detentions have been undertaken today at about 6:00 a.m.
"Dozens of policemen cordoned off the parking lot. They waked up the sleeping people and took them away without allowing them to even wash up. The court order under which the people were brought to police station had not entered into force by that moment," states the Association of Carriers of Russia.
It is noted that four activists were detained. Their defenders have not yet commented on the incident. Till present, no comments concerning the detention at the parking lot also came from the law enforcement bodies, courts or local authorities.
