Law enforcers plant drugs on Dagestani native detained in Moscow, his relatives assert

In Moscow, law enforcers detained student Murad Ragimov on suspicion of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs) in Syria and of an attack on policemen in Dagestan. However, he was finally charged with drug possession, which, according to his relatives, had been planted to the detainee.

On August 30, more than 20 law enforcers broke into the house of Murad Ragimov. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Melek Sarkarova, a relative of the detainee.

According to her, Murad Ragimov was initially charged with the murder of inspectors of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) in Dagestan. However, then he was accused of the fact that he allegedly four times crossed the border with Syria to join the IAFs.

"My brother has got no foreign passport. When that was found out, and they realized that Murad had never travelled abroad, they began to look for drugs," said the detainee's relative.

"They severe beat and tortured him, and he signed a protocol stating that the drugs alleged belonged to him and that he was engaged in selling drugs," said the relative of the detainee.

On September 3, the Tushino Court of Moscow pronounced the decision to arrest Murad Ragimov for two months, reports an official from the GOVD (City Interior Division).
