HRC "Memorial": relatives of two Kaspiysk residents report their kidnapping
The office of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" in Makhachkala was addressed by relatives of the 23-year-old Aslan Abdurakhmanov, who stated that he had been kidnapped. According to their story, Aslan went to Makhachkala with his friend Said Saidov, whose whereabouts is also unknown.
As stated by Aslan's relatives, he is a Salafi Muslim and was on the "prophylactic registry" at the police.
"On September 19, 2016, Aslan Abdurakhmanov and his friend Said Saidov were making repairs of an apartment in Kaspiysk. After work, they left in a silver-beige Lada Kalina car for Makhachkala," says the release of the HRC "Memorial", received today by the "Caucasian Knot". According to relatives, since then, the young people had no communication; and there is no information about the whereabouts of Aslan Abdurakhmanov and his friend Said Saidov.
The relatives' application quotes testimonies of eyewitnesses from Makhachkala, who saw 5-6 persons in masks and greyish uniform beating up a young man in a red windbreaker lying on the ground. According to Zarina (Abdurakhmanov's sister), her brother Aslan was wearing a red windbreaker on that day. Then, the eyewitnesses saw the attackers taking the beaten guy and throwing him into the jeep. Then, they took their cars and drove away.
