Ramzan Kadyrov laughs off reports on attempt of his assassination

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has used social networks to announce as a joke that he is allegedly not aware of an impending attempt on his life. Earlier, he has confirmed the prevention of an attack on him.

On October 2, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" published an article about the Ramzan Kadyrov's ruling. The article reported on the prevention of the assassination attempt on the leader of the Chechen Republic in spring of 2016. According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", that was the eighth assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov.

Ramzan Kadyrov has commented on the information about the attempt on him in his Instagram page under the publication reporting on the attempt on him posted on kavkaz_pravda page.

"And why am I not aware of it?" states the comment.

Meanwhile, September 16, Ramzan Kadyrov himself confirmed the information that law enforcers prevented an attack on him. The video of the press conference is available on the ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) "Grozny" on YouTube.

Residents of Chechnya, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot", stated that according to the information disseminated in the republic, the attempt on the Chechen leader involved people from the Kadyrov's teip (clan).

Besides, according to residents of Grozny, they did not succeed in their attempt to buy a copy of the "Novaya Gazeta" with an article about the assassination attempt, since by the evening of October 3, it was out of sale. According to the local residents, it usually happens when the edition publishes unflattering articles about Ramzan Kadyrov.
