Sergey Sokolov: "Novaya Gazeta" to find customer of Anna Politkovskaya's murder

The murder of journalist Anna Politkovskaya cannot be treated as solved, unless the customer of the murder is identified. This was reported by Sergey Sokolov, the deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta". He has also noted that sooner or later, the newspaper will report the name of the customer of the journalist's murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Anna Politkovskaya, an observer of the "Novaya Gazeta", who was well-known for her articles about Northern Caucasus and, in particular, about Chechnya, was murdered in Moscow on October 7, 2006. The Moscow City Court sentenced to terms of imprisonment the five defendants in the case, including Chechen natives Lom-Ali Gaitukaev, Rustam, Ibragim and Djabrail Makhmudov, and former policeman Sergey Khadjikurbanov.

Today, at the action in memory of Anna Politkovskaya held near the building of the "Novaya Gazeta" office, Sergey Sokolov, the deputy editor-in-chief of the edition, has declared a minute of silence. After that he claimed that the investigation into the criminal case was fallen apart.
