Number of casualties in Dagestani CTO reaches three

In the evening on October 9, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Suleiman-Stalsky District. At night on October 10, republic's law enforcement sources reported the killing of suspected militants in the CTO area.

"According to preliminary data, in the course of armed clashes of power agents with armed bandits in the Suleiman-Stalsky District of Dagestan, which was under CTO regime since 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, three militants were killed," said a law enforcement officer, who is quoted by the "Interfax".

The information about three casualties was confirmed by a source of the RIA "Novosti".

"In the course of operative-search activities, a grouping of militants was discovered. When offered to surrender, they opened fire on law enforcers. According to preliminary data, three militants were killed by response fire," said the source of the RIA.
