Ingushetia: Mother of Zulfiya Ausheva who was killed in special operation is in hospital

During talks with the militants in Gazi-Yurt, mother of the woman, who was in the blocked house, felt bad; and she is still in the intensive care unit, said an Ingush official.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 7, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was held in the city of Nazran and the village of Gazi-Yurt of the Nazran District passed, in which, according to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), six suspected militants were killed, among them: Zubair Sautiev, who arrived from Syria, and the spouses Rustam Aushev and Zulfiya Ausheva, who rendered resistance.

Lyudmila Kartoeva, Zulfiya's mother, took part in the negotiations during the CTO, an Ingush official, who was present at the talks, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He said that the mother was specially brought to the place of the CTO in Gazi-Yurt. She tried to persuade her daughter to leave the house and surrender; she was crying, but at some point, fire was opened from inside the house, said the source.

At the hospital, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told that the condition of Lyudmila Kartoeva is grave; and she is in the intensive care unit.

According to a source from power structures, there was also a four-year girl in the blocked house; and the suspected militants agreed to let her out only after repeated requests of her relative, who participated in the negotiations.

"They were repeatedly persuaded to lay down arms and surrender... They didn't want to go out; they only released the girl after numerous requests of the relative. Apparently, their alleged terrorist ideals were more important for them than the fate of the child," said the source.
