12 projects from Kabardino-Balkaria selected for federal round of "Civil Initiative" award

12 projects on organization of volunteer movement and care for children with disabilities, orphans and people diagnosed with cancer won the regional stage of the award of the "Committee of Civil Initiatives" in Kabardino-Balkaria. Now they are offered for the federal stage of the award, and in case of the victory, the authors will be granted cash prizes to develop their initiatives.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that 67 projects from all the regions of the republic were submitted for the contest.

The award was organized by the "Committee of Civil Initiatives" and led by Alexei Kudrin, the deputy chairman of the Economic Council under the President of Russia.

In particular, the number of winners includes the organization "Help Your Neighbour" for its project "Golden Volunteer"; "Help Your Neighbour" for the action "Clean Elbrus" to clean up the slopes of the mountain of garbage; the Charitable Foundation for Children "Di Ramize" founded by the Maremkulov family, and the project of Azamat Kubatiev, a member of the NGO "Elbrusoid", aimed at promotion of cessation of smoking and drug use.

Besides, the jury has also noted the project aimed at promotion of integration of disabled children into society "Nadezhda" (Hope) initiated by Irina Emuzova and the project of the NGO "Bars El" by Abuzeid Geriev aimed at assistance in adoption of orphans by their relatives: due to the project, six children were returned into families.
