In Makhachkala, activists claim no progress in case of killed Gasanguseinov brothers

In Makhachkala, members of the working group created to achieve rehabilitation of the Gasanguseinov brothers killed by law enforcers and recognized as militants have claimed no progress in the case. The activists have also reported that they are unable to hold a meeting for a month already, since owners of the premises refuse them for different reasons.

On November 6, members of the working group met at a cafe. It was originally planned to hold a meeting of villagers of the Shamil District, similar to the one that took place at the Saidmukhammad-Khadji Abubakarov Foundation on September 7. However, the leaders of the Foundation refused to provide a room, the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports.

The participants of the meeting believe that the Dagestani organizations are instructed "from the above" to refuse in rooms for them, since the authorities treat such an event as an action of protest.

According to advocate Said Ibragimov, an investigator has admitted that he did not conduct any investigative activities in the case. He explained that by the fact that the materials are all the time taken to the Prosecutor's Office or to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The father of the Gasanguseinov brothers has reported that he filed a complaint about the murder of his sons, but there is still no resolution on institution or refusal in institution of criminal proceedings. The man also filed a request to recognize him as victim party; however, no reaction to his request followed.

According to the advocate, the participants of the meeting have decided to hold the next week a gathering in Goor-Khindakh, a native village of the Gasanguseinov brothers.
