Dagestani artists support vaccination campaign against hepatitis A
Artists of the local variety show in Makhachkala have urged citizens to get vaccinated against hepatitis A. In total, as of November 8, this vaccination was made to over 33,000 residents of the capital of Dagestan, said the Republic's Ministry of Public Health.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to the above Ministry, that since November 4 all the Makhachkala polyclinics are making free vaccination against hepatitis A. On November 5, the Ministry said that the vaccination progress is insufficient; and the Minister associated this small progress with rumours about the danger of vaccination.
On November 8, the popular local pop artists Laurita, Aisha, Telman, and Zaurbek Babatov, the Director of the Kumyk Theatre, made vaccination against hepatitis A in one of Makhachkala polyclinics.
As of November 8, according to the Ministry of Public Health, over 33,000 persons were vaccinated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that the mass poisoning with water in Makhachkala occurred after on October 27 citizens reported about the supply of dirty water to their homes after the completion of works on the Miatli HPP.
