CTO legal regime in Baksan lifted
Law enforcers have completed a special operation in Baksan. The killed man has been preliminary identified as Akhmed Shevkhuzhev, who was wanted on suspicion of attacking policemen at night of October 9.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, during a special operation, law enforcers killed a suspected militant blocked in a private house.
The counterterrorist operation (CTO) in Baksan is completed, reports the spokesman of the operational headquarters for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
According to the preliminary information, the killed man has been identified as 22-year-old Akhmed Shevkhuzhev. He was wanted for involvement in the murder of two policemen committed in this October in the town of Prokhladny, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies for Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
According to an official from the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), when requested to lay down his arms and surrender, the man blocked in the house opened fire and was killed by return fire, the "TASS" reports.
