Grozny residents claim being forced to attend football match

In Grozny, the police cordoned off the "Akhmat Arena" stadium before the football match between the national teams of Russia and Romania. As a result, traffic jams occurred, report city residents. Some employees of budget organizations claimed being forced to attend the match as fans.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the friendly match between the Russian and Romanian national teams was held in the capital of Chechnya on November 15. During the match, 2000 policemen provided safety. The Russian national team won the match with the score 1: 0 thanks to a goal made by Magomed Ozdoev, a native of Chechnya.

Before the football match, law enforcers cordoned off the quarters adjacent to the "Akhmat Arena" stadium. According to residents of Grozny, the above resulted in traffic jams and created problems for residents and visitors to the city.

Besides, according to some public sector employees, they were forced to attend the football match held yesterday.

"We were warned in advance that on November 15, we would have to come to the match as fans. In total, we had to spend there more than five hours," said Ruslan, an employee of one of the public institutions of Chechnya.
