Khasan Djandigov detained under CTO in Nasyr-Kort

On November 24, in the course of the counterterrorist operation (CTO), conducted in the settlement of Nasyr-Kort, in the outskirt of Nazran, apart from blocking a house in Abadiev Street, where the father and son Iliev were killed, power agents also detained Khasan Djandigov, 40, and searched his house, said a law enforcement source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 24, at 6:30 a.m. Moscow time, a part of Nazran was put under the CTO regime. Power agents blocked a private house in Abadiev Street, where two militants refused to surrender and were killed in a shootout. According to power agents, the casualties were identified as the father and son Iliev.

In Nasyr-Kort, the CTO lasted for three hours; eight streets were cordoned off, one of the locals told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, there were many armoured troop carriers (ATCs) and other military machines in the CTO area. "The traffic in the cordoned streets was restricted; and intense fire was heard for 20-30 minutes. When it was over, a strong explosion occurred; and I saw a plume of smoke from the blown up house, where bandits were hiding. This plume of smoke was visible from everywhere in Nasyr-Kort," said the source.

On the same day, the 40-year-old Khasan Djandigov was detained, locals told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

This information was confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by law enforcer named Magomed. According to his story, Khasan Djandigov has two wives and four children. During detention, power agents found a "khattabka" (grenade) and a handful of cartridges on him.
