Adygea police start checking data about theft of Kadyrov's sacrificial sheep

The complaint prepared by ecologist Valery Brinikh on the theft of hundreds of sheep donated to Muslims of Adygea by the Akhmat Kadyrov Public Foundation has been received by the police.

"At present, the inspection has been launched," the "Interfax" quotes in the evening of December 2 Baizet Gomleshko, the chief of the press service of the Chechen Ministry for Internal Affairs (MIA).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported on December 1, Valery Brinikh, the chairman of the All-Russian Society for Environmental Protection, sent to the police a complaint with a request to check the information stating that some sheep sent to Adygea by the order of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov for Eid al-Adha were not allocated to the poor. According to the ecologist, who also sent an appeal to Ramzan Kadyrov, the sheep were stolen by local officials.

The ecologist has explained that he learned about the theft from a resident of Chechnya. "An old man was extremely indignant about unfair situation around this year's celebration of Eid al-Adha. The man knew for certain that the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation allocated 1250 lambs for Adygea, but only 500 lambs were distributed to residents of the republic," said Valery Brinikh.

"On December 1, I file a complaint to the MIA's Department for the city of Maikop. Let the police deal with the situation. However, it is possible that the complaint will very quickly be refused with the formal wording of 'absence of elements of crime," said the ecologist.

"That's why I addressed a letter to Ramzan Kadyrov to attract his attention. I hope he will issue an order to investigate the case at the appropriate level," emphasized Valery Brinikh.
