"On December 17, law enforcers took away parents, brothers and other close relatives of the attackers, including cousins on the maternal side. Yesterday (on December 18), at night, they released some of them, but close relatives are still at the police station; and we don't know when they'll be released," said a woman from Grozny.
"In our family, they detained about ten persons, including parents and uncles on the paternal side. All of them were taken to the police station, where they are kept for the third day. Several relatives were released, but most of them are still there. It is unclear, however, why, because all the guys, who are considered guilty of these attacks, had been killed already," said another man, also from Grozny.
According to local residents, power agents detained not only relatives, but also the casualties' friends, whose contacts were in their mobile phones.
