Activist Chirikov detained in Krasnodar

Today, policemen took away Victor Chirikov, a Krasnodar activist, to some unknown place, said his wife.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 21 policemen came to Victor Chirikov and declared that he was suspected of placing, on December 20, a cross to the pedestal of the bust of Felix Dzerzhinsky. Victor Chirikov himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it.

According to his wife, Victor Chirikov was detained at about 2:00 p.m., while he was driving in his car in Krasnodar. The detention was very tough; it was performed by two cars of the post-and-patrol service (PPS) and a car with operative agents in civilian clothes.

Presumably, the detention of Chirikov has to do with the action of attaching a cross to the monument to Dzerzhinsky in Krasnodar, which was done on December 20 – the Day of Security Employees of the Russian   Federation, the "Voice of Kuban" reports.
