Rasul Mirzaev's friend reports deterioration of athlete's health

The health condition of wrestler Rasul Mirzaev, who was attacked in Moscow at night of January 31, has deteriorated. This was reported by Aniuar Chechenov, a friend of the athlete.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that three unidentified persons severely beat up Rasul Mirzaev in his apartment in Vostochnaya Street and wounded him from a traumatic pistol. The athlete was hospitalized and underwent surgery.

On November 27, 2012, the court in Moscow sentenced Rasul Mirzaev to two years of imprisonment on the charge of killing by negligence student Ivan Agafonov. Taking into account the period of detention at SIZO (pre-trial prison), the court released Rasul Mirzaev at the courtroom.

"At present, his condition has deteriorated... On his face and body, he's got huge haematomas and bullet wounds inflicted by a traumatic pistol," said on January 4 Aniuar Chechenov, a friend of Rasul Mirzaev, Vice President of the "Gladiator", a Kabardino-Balkarian league of professional mixed martial arts (MMA).

Let us remind you that according to the unofficial version, the attack on Rasul Mirzaev may involve natives of Dagestan, with whom the athlete had a dispute at one of the Moscow night clubs. For the first time, this version was voiced by a reader of the "Caucasian Knot".
