Father of alleged militant leader renounces his son in front of Kadyrov

Power agents have found the father of Magomed Rashidov, who, according to Chechen authorities, headed the attack on policemen in Shali. The father has renounced his son Magomed, Ramzan Kadyrov has written in his Instagram.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that last night two policemen were killed in the Chechen town of Shali. After the attack, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was conducted, as a result of which three alleged attackers were killed; and the police have also confirmed that two civilians were wounded. According to the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the killed militants were Yunus Mukaev, Sidik Dargaev and Beshto Emediev, while their actions were commanded by Magomed Rashidov, a native of Shali, who is in Syria for three years as a member of the "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia. After the CTO, law enforcers detained relatives of Mukaev, Dargaev and Emediev.

Today, the official page of Ramzan Kadyrov on the Instagram has posted statement reading that Magomed Rashidov's father was found in Shali.

"Rashidov's father has publicly cursed his son and said that the news about his son's death would be the best reward for him. I repeat once again that parents, relatives and friends must be responsible for bandits' criminal actions and hand them out to the police," says the statement of the head Chechnya.
