Armenia calls on Azerbaijan to stop escalation of Karabakh conflict

The Armenia's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has joined the statement of the MoD of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), made in connection with the incident in the Karabakh conflict zone, having accused the Azerbaijan counterpart of sabotage and disinformation. The Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has reported Azerbaijan’s attempted attack to the OSCE.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today Azerbaijan accused Armenia of 120 bombardments of its positions. The Azerbaijani MoD has admitted that it suffered losses. In its turn, the NKR’s MoD has stated that Azerbaijan tried to ascribe its own diversion, during which it suffered losses, to the Armenian party.

Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesman for the Armenia’s MoD, has noted that Azerbaijan not for the first time accused the Armenian party of attacking after its own failed attack.

He added that the Armenian party observes the ceasefire regime and calls on Azerbaijan to refrain from escalating the situation.

According to the head of the press service of the Armenia’s MoD, they have a video proving the aggression by the Azerbaijani party.
