Resident of Dagestan killed in shootout with power agents

In the Dagestani village of Karamakhi, a local resident, who opened automatic fire at law enforcers, was shot dead, the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported.

According to the ID of the ICRF, on February 27, 2017, in the outskirt of Karamakhi, Buynaksk District, law enforcers found a hideout with weapons and ammunition. The ID asserts that one of locals showed the hideout to power agents.

The hideout with weapons and ammunition was in an abandoned household in the outskirt of Karamakhi. According to the ID of the ICRF, after the hideout was found, a local resident "opened automatic fire in the direction of law enforcers."

"He was neutralized by response fire; nobody was hurt from among law enforcers," says the statement posted on the website of the ID for Dagestan of the ICRF.
