Soldier killed in Karabakh conflict zone

Nver Babadjanyan, a soldier of the Defence Army, has died as a result of the gunfire delivered from the Azerbaijani side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning Azerbaijan has accused the Armenian part of 132 bombardments committed within the last 24 hours, while the NKR fixed 1100 shots at its positions.

In the afternoon, Azerbaijani militaries continued shelling the positions of the NKR’s Defence Army from 60- and 82-mm mortars, an SPG-9 anti-tank grenade launcher, and from a GP-25 under-barrel grenade launcher, the NKR’s MoD reports.

The today’s message posted on the MoD’s website says that around 4:50 p.m. Yerevan time, in the north-east section of the contact line, the above Nver Babadjanyan, a 37-year-old contract soldier, received a fatal gunshot wound.
