Life of policeman wounded near Khasavyurt is out of danger

After the shelling of the police outfit in the Khasavyurt District, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was not introduced, since the involvement of militants in the shelling has not been established. The policeman received a tangential wound, said a law enforcement source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the attack was committed on March 11 near the village of Endirei. The attackers disappeared; one policeman was hospitalized. According to preliminary data, there were three attackers; they are now being searched in the vicinity of the neighbouring village of Karlanyurt.

The wound of the policeman was slight, the source said.

He also said that, according to special services, the criminal activities of the "Khasavyurt" militant grouping had been suppressed almost completely; the grouping has four members remaining, including "Valid Matsaev, who is wanted."
