Residents of Urus-Martan complain about kidnapping

Starting from March 10, family members of Apti Edaev, a kidnapped resident of Urus-Martan, cannot reveal his whereabouts. According to local residents, the man was brought away from a mourning meeting by people dressed in uniform.

"Officials from the local police station said that they never detained him," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Musa, a resident of Urus-Martan.

According to one of the Apti Edaev's relatives, his family members appealed to the police station. However, the police refused to accept a complaint about kidnapping.

"The only thing the officials from the police station did was making a call to the City and District Interior Divisions to find out whether the detainee had been brought to their places," said another relative of the kidnapped man.

According to the family members of Apti Edaev, he had no problems with the law.
