In case of Boris Nemtsov's murder, prosecutor demands to prolong arrest of defendants

Today, the public prosecutor has filed a motion to extend for three months the period of detention in custody for the defendants in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder. The court has postponed the pronouncement of the decision until March 28.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 22, 2016, the public prosecutor asked to extend for three months the period of detention in custody for the defendants in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder. Despite the disagreement of the defence, the court has decided to leave the defendants in custody until March 30.

Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow on February 27, 2015. In the criminal case of his murder, the prisoners' dock contains natives of Ingushetia and Chechnya, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid (also mentioned in the media as Shadid) Gubashev brothers, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, and Khamzat Bakhaev. All of them pleaded not guilty.

Today, at the Moscow District Military Court, at the hearing in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, public prosecutor Maria Semenenko has filed a motion related to "pre-trial restriction measure."

Anna Byurchieva, an advocate of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, has asked the court to release her client from custody under personal bail.
