Relatives of resident of Grozny state his kidnapping by power agents

Last night, Rizvan Minazov, 28, was taken away from his home in Grozny by unidentified armed men, his relatives reported. Minazov was detained on suspicion of involvement in an attack in the Naur District, said a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about mass detentions of young men with beards in the Naur district of Chechnya and in Grozny after the militants’ attack on the checkpoint of the military camp of the “Natsgvardia” (National Guard of Russia).

Relatives believe that Minazov was kidnapped by power agents in connection with the events in the Naur District.

"He wore a beard, but throughout the last year he... was at work around the clock; he was not engage in any other matters. His beard is not so big; there was no power agents’ interest to him before," said Rizvan’s sister.
