Gubashev: I learned about Nemtsov’s murder from TV news

At today’s court session, Shagid Gubashev, a defendant in the Boris Nemtsov's murder case, has agreed to answer only the questions of the defence and the jury, explaining that he had learned about the murder of Nemtsov from TV news and paid no attention to it.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 28, the first of the defendants questioned, Khamzat Bakhaev, said he had not been fond of politics and did not know about the impending crime.

Gubashev said that he does not know how to use the Internet and could not gather information about Nemtsov and know about his murder.

Answering the questions of his advocates, Gubashev noticed that he had never held arms in his hands, but made photos with it in Chechnya for boasting.

According to his story, he had no reason to commit the crime, because he had no need of money.

The defendant has also stated that he had earned money by transporting goods by his truck. According to his story, he did not go to Moscow in 2006, as he stayed to take care of his incapable grandfather, but later came to work in the Moscow District.

He stressed that had never sold or bought firearms, and had never known another defendant – Tamerlan Eskerkhanov.
