Khasavyurt residents report power agents’ tours

Today, power agents have blocked exits from the neighbourhood "Olympic Settlement" in Khasavyurt, and conducted household patrol detours there, local residents have reported. The police refused to confirm this information.

Power agents began their household rounds in the settlement at nine o'clock in the morning; at that moment, the entrances to and exits from the settlement were blocked by military vehicles, local residents told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on conditions of anonymity.

“The settlement mainly consists of private houses; power agents visited selectively certain houses; it lasted until 4 p.m.," said one of locals.

According to the source, residents were not informed about the reasons of visits, and who they could search for.

"Now, everything is calm; armed people have left; and locals have returned to their daily affairs," he added.

As far as he knows, several people were brought to the police, but who exactly – the source did not know.
