MfE denies report on three rescued person from sunken dry cargo ship

The Crimean Department of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of the Russian Federation confirms information about one rescued crew member of the sunken ship "Arsenal Heroes". The search for other 11 sailors is hampered by weather conditions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the ship with 12 crew members wrecked 15 miles of the dwelling settlement of Taman in the Krasnodar Territory.

"The dry cargo ship sailing under the flag of Panama was transporting grain from the port of Azov in the Rostov Region to Turkey, having the crew of 12 people (9 citizens of Ukraine, 2 citizens of Russia, and 1 citizen of Georgia)," the website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.

The rescue operation is hampered by a storm, said a source of the above MfE’s Department. "The storm is four points strong; the waves are very high... The weather is very unfavourable for searches," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the source as saying.
