Relatives of Dagestani resident complain about signs of torture on his body

Ramazan Izudinov detained in Khasavyurt is being kept at SIZO (pre-trial prison). His relatives saw signs on his body, suggesting the use of torture. This was reported by the Ramazan Izudinov's wife.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that on April 18, the detention of Ramazan Izudinov, born in 1991, by law enforcers was reported by his wife Ellada, a resident of the village of Vostochny of the city of Khasavyurt.

Ramazan Izudinov was arrested for a period of one month, prior to the formal charge, on suspicion of aiding and abetting members of an illegal armed formation (IAF) and illegal possession of weapons (a grenade and ammunition). The trial in the Ramazan Izudinov's case was held on April 20, the detainee's wife reports.

According to the woman, at present, her husband is being kept at the SIZO of Khasavyurt. "There was a trial. I and brothers of Ramazan saw him. He was severely beaten. His face was swollen, and he got a broken nose, yellow-green bruises on his face, and bruises on his arms," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the wife of Ramazan Izudinov.

A source from the Khasavyurt GOVD (City Interior Division) has confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Ramazan Izudinov was arrested for a month, but no formal charge has been yet filed against him.
