In Stavropol Territory, number of flood victims reaches 1300 people

In the Stavropol Territory, the working group of the governmental commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergencies has introduced the federal level regime of emergencies because of rainwater, the "Gazeta.ru" reports with reference to the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).

The federal level of response to emergencies will allow the StavropolTerritory to use the reserves and resources of the federal centre to eliminate the consequences of the emergency.

In total, according to the information as at 12:00 a.m. Moscow time of May 24, in six villages and towns of the Stavropol Territory, 333 residential houses, 866 adjacent territories and horticultural plots were flooded, with population of more than 1300 people, reports the message published on the website of the MfE for the Stavropol Territory.
