Dagestani athlete wins European Championship in kettlebell lifting

Ramazan Guseinov won the gold medal of the European Youth Kettlebell Championship.

The European Youth Kettlebell Championship among athletes younger than 23 years old was held in Daugavpils in Latvia.

Dagestani athlete Ramazan Guseinov, who represented the Krasnodar Territory at the competitions, became the winner in pushing kettlebells with a long cycle. According to the rules of the competitions, an athlete was to make the maximum number of lifts of two 32-kilogram kettlebells in ten minutes, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

Ramazan Guseinov became the winner in the weight category of up to 73 kg. He pushed two kettlebells 72 times and met the standard of a master of international class, the "Dagestanskaya Pravda" reports.

Ramazan Guseinov is a native of the village of Gelchen of the Kurakh District. He has been in sports since he was 10 years old.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in May, Dagestani athletes Abdulbari Guseinov and Ruslan Abdulaev won gold medals at the international Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Tournament.
