Public prosecutor requests jury to find defendants guilty of Boris Nemtsov's murder

In the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, public prosecutors have considered the guilt of the defendants as proven and requested the jury to pronounce the verdict of guilty. Journalists how were monitoring the trial noted a number of inconsistencies in the case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Moscow District Military Court launched the consideration of the case on the Boris Nemtsov's murder on October 3, 2016. The recent court session was held on May 31.

At the trial, almost nothing was reported about the motive of the crime. The public prosecutors allege that Boris Nemtsov was murdered by order, but they present almost no evidence. The money is mentioned only in the Zaur Dadaev's testimony given during the investigation. The version that Boris Nemtsov could be killed because of his statements in support of the "Charlie Hebdo", was not considered, noted Yegor Skovoroda, a journalist of the "Media Zone", as quoted by the "Medusa".

According to the journalist, the witnesses indicated that the defendants had contacted Ruslan Geremeev, the deputy commander of the "Sever" (North) battalion. He was mentioned as the main person in the criminal grouping to which Dadaev, Mukhudinov and Eskerkhanov belonged.

Yegor Skovoroda has also noted that some members of the criminal grouping did not appear in the case or in the court. Meanwhile, the roles of Eskerkhanov and Bakhaev were not cleared up.

"Of the top-ranking residents of Chechnya, only Alibek Delimkhanov, a brother of Adam Delimkhanov, and the former commander of the 'Sever' battalion, under whose command Zaur Dadaev was serving, came to the trial," the article notes.
