Athlete Maria Kuchina gains her seventh victory in a row
On June 18, Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina), a track-and-field athlete from Kabardino-Balkaria, the current world champion in high jump, won the third stage of the "Diamond League" in this season and thus secured a place in the final of the international commercial tournament.
Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina) won the seventh international tournament in a row. The athlete managed to overcome a bar installed at height of 2 meters.
In Stockholm, being the winner of the competition, the athlete thrice tried to improve the season world record, but failed to overcome the height of 2.06 meters.
Earlier, in the Dutch city of Hengelo, Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina) won a tournament of the World Challenge with the best result of the season (2.04 meters). The previous best result of the season was also achieved by Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina): the athlete overcame the bar installed at the height of 2.03 meters at the stage of the "Diamond League" in the American city of Eugene, the "TASS" reported on June 19.
The height of 2.04 meters is a personal record of the athlete.
