Instagram users associate arson of judge's car in Makhachkala with her work
The judge of the Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala, whose car was burned down in Kerimov Street at night on June 30, had participated in many high-profile trials, namely: the case of Badrudin Musaev, a son of Makhachkala Mayor; the arrest of Imam Magomednabi Magomedov; the assassination case of Gasanguseinov brothers, and trials on complicity to militants.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Nissan X-Trail car, owned by Judge Patimat Makhatilova, was set on fire by an unidentified person. The car costing 1.5 million roubles burned down completely, the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
In 2016 and 2017, the judge ran a number of resonant trials.
Thus, in late June, she considered the case initiated against Badrudin Musaev, a son of Makhachkala Mayor, the "Novoye Delo" writes.
In February 2016, Judge Makhatilova began considering the case of Omar Magomedov, accused of aiding militants, and possession of drugs, weapons and explosives. The trial takes place in closed mode after the state prosecutor's statements about threats addressed to him.
In April 2016, Makhatilova decided to arrest Magomednabi Magomedov, Imam of the "Vostochnaya" Khasavyurt mosque, the "Komsomolskaya Pravda-Northern Caucasus" reports.
Instagram users made their comments to the video of arson, posted by the user mkala, that the incident had to do with Judge Makhatilova's professional activities; however, they have no unanimous opinion of the reason of the arson.
"Because she failed to solve the case in their favour, of course," the user aiz77789__ believes.
The user raisat116 objects, "Maybe, on the contrary, she passed an unjust sentence."
