Azerbaijan announces death of two villagers at bombardment of Alkhanly (+video)
As a result of shelling from the Armenian side, in the village of Alkhanly, Fizuli District, a woman and a two-year-old girl were killed, and another woman received shrapnel wounds, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.
According to the MoD, the Armenian armed forces shelled the village of Alkhanly in the evening on July 4, around 8:40 p.m.
As a result of the shelling, two villagers were killed, another one received shrapnel wounds. A 50-year-old woman, Gulieva Sakhiba Idris gyzy, and a two-year-old girl, Gulieva Zakhra Elnur gyzy, died. The wounded 52-year-old woman, Gulieva Sarvinaz Iltifat gyzy, was taken to hospital and operated on, the Azerbaijani MoD reports.
The killed women were a grandmother and a granddaughter, and the wounded woman is their relative, the APA has reported today.
