Court to involve Dagestani authorities in case on schoolgirl's death

The Soviet District Court of Makhachkala has granted the request, filed by representatives of the mother of the schoolgirl who died after an attack of stray dogs, to involve in the case the Dagestani Veterinary Committee and the Dagestani Ministry of Finance as co-defendants.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 19, in Makhachkala, a body of a nine-year-old girl was found. According to investigators, she died as a result of an attack of dogs. On June 2, the mother of the deceased schoolgirl went to the court with the demand for compensation from the city authorities for moral damage in the amount of 50.1 million roubles.

On July 17, there were preliminary hearings on the lawsuit filed by the mother of the deceased schoolgirl. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Marizhat Gadjimagomedova, a representative of the deceased schoolgirl' mother.

The representatives of the plaintiff have requested the Court to involve the Dagestani Veterinary Committee and the Dagestani Ministry of Finance as co-defendants. According to Marizhat Gadjimagomedova, the Court has pronounced the decision to grant the request.
