Head of Armenian village reports shelling from Azeri side

Last night, during two hours, the Azerbaijani armed forces shelled the village of Barekamavan in the Tavush Region of Armenia. No one was injured, the village head reported.

According to Djonik Mikaelyan, the head of the village community, desultory fire with interruptions lasted from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on July 21.

"No one was injured, and we also did not incur material losses," said the village head. He has also noted that this is the first case of shelling of the village this year. Meanwhile, the villages located in the area of military positions are subjected to shelling every day, the "Panorama.am" quotes Djonik Mikaelyan as stating.

Ovik Karakeshishyan, the former head of the Barekamavan village, has reported that several bullets hit the roof of his house. "Asbestos boards fell from the roof right into a room," he said. According to Ovik Karakeshishyan, several other houses were also damaged as a result of the shelling, the "ArmInfo" reports.
